Constitution Matters is a website focused on teaching and explaining constitutional principles, particularly as those principles relate to modern-day America. However, while the focus is on the U.S. Constitution, that focus inevitably bleeds over to politics. What is politics? It is the divide over how different people think those constitutional principles should, or should not, apply in any given circumstance. Consequently, while the site is about the Constitution, it is necessary, at times, to direct attention – sometimes comically and other times seriously – toward the political side of American life.
